Simply Mayang

St. Lorenzo Ruiz is the first Filipino saint and the patron saint of all Lay Ministers. My father is one of the Lay Minister in our parish which was proclaimed by Cardinal Vidal Shrine last August 21, 2008.So the Lay ministers at San Roque Shrine celebrated St. Lorenzo Ruiz feast with Holy Mass; the officiating priest is our very own Rev. Fr. Constantino Navales Jr. our parish priest who bravely started the construction of the church. After the mass there was a get together with the individual families of Lay Ministers, choir members and some people who attended the mass.

They had a BYOP (Bring Your Own Probation) every Lay Minister has his own sharing for every body. There are lots of food in the table. It’s their way of thanks giving at the same time a family day as what our parish priest told us during the get together for he really enjoy the gatherings that even simple but for him it is already a big celebration!

The month ending Ber is here.We can feel it in the blow of the air and it means Christmas is really approaching. In fact the weather is changing at daytime its too hot and during nighttime it’s very cold. In time like this it’s nice to go to malls on sight seeing and windows shopping remembering the gifts that we’re going to give the good-children. And i am sure lots of Ninongs and Ninangs ( Goodfather and Goodmohter) will do the same.

Actually, on Christmas the children will enjoy most for they know there are lots of foods and gifts that they are going to receive. And we the young once upon a time, are too busy preparing, in fact even though we don’t have money at that time we are going to borrow money just to celebrate Christmas, not knowing the real meaning of Christmas that it is time for for happiness, forgiving and sharing love to others. For Christmas is the the coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ!

O come let us adore Him… Christ the Lord!

At 4:30 in the afternoon my nephew woke me up and telling me the bad news, about my uncle that he is unconscious. Actually earlier he just checked out from the hospital and the doctor told my auntie that his heart is in bad condition and much better if he stay at home and continue his medication.  Being practical my auntie decided to bring him home coz she is worried about the big hospital bills.

My uncle was doing fine when they arrived from the hospital. In fact he was walking from taxi that brought them home towards the balcony and decided to stay there for a while. He just stayed outside with his grandson, watching him playing. But the little boy wants to poo so my uncle toook off the little boy’s shorts.

And after 30 minutes my uncle decided to enter the house,  sat down in his rocking chair and called my auntie that he wants to pee. So my auntie got his pee pan. After peeing, suddenly he was having a sudden hearth attack which caused his unconciousness. Then his son called ERUF. He was rescued right away and responded to the medicine given so he was brought back to the hospital, but he expired a few minutes after.

Life here on earth is too short in fact we don’t know when our death comes, and the best thing to do is to get get ready anytime for we don’t know it might come to us suddenly. Be prepared always to face Him, for we really don’t know when is our time to go!
