There are lots of people who witnessed of the consecration activities. His Eminence Ricardo Cardinal Vidal was the main celebrant of the mass he was assisted by Monsgr. Cris Garcia and 12 other priests. It was a con celebrated with cardinal, really a big celebration. To those people who attended the mass they will inherit a Plenary Indulgence if they will go to confession after 8 days.

The Holy Mass and the Blessing started at 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon and ended almost 6:00 o’clock in the evening then followed by a dinner participated by Sitio who have members brought dinner tickets as their way of saying thanks to those who have supported the project spiritually and financially.

To the parishioner of St. Roque Shrine of Mambaling, Cebu City. Congratulation for a job well done! Making a successful construction is really blessed because considering a “MIRACLE” right after the Holy Mass and Blessing Cardinal Vidal automatically, announced our Parish will become the Archdiocesan Shrine of Senior San Roque!

It is the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and probably of those who love animals. During this month, many parishioners take their pets to their churches to have them blessed. One example is an article He read in the papers that cats are fired upon by the soldiers in one of the military camps in the metropolis. How pathetic is that? Did it ever occur to officers of the camp to donate three poor cats to one of the animal shelters, instead of targeting as if they have no life at all.

Surely one of their people might find place in their home for these cats. An editor asked of the reporters to do a story unfortunately as a press time he has still to interview the camp director to get his side. We cannot run the story with one angle, don’t you agree? • Drive less. When possible, choose alternatives to driving (public transit, biking, walking, and carpooling), and bundle your errands together so you’ll make fewer trips.
• Replace your light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs. While compact fluorescent are initially more expensive than the incandescent bulbs most people use, they last 10 times as long.
