Carnitine…

Carnitine is a quaternary ammonium compound biosynthesized from the amino acids lysine and methionine. To put it simply, it is a chemical derived from amino acids and is required for the transport of fatty acids from the cytosol into the mitochondria during the breakdown of fats for the generation of metabolic energy. This chemical has great effects in the body. It reconstructs bone mass, prevents lipid proxidation, and has many other positive effects in the body. Supplementation of L-carnitine prevents carnitine deficiency which is a metabolic disorder that prevents the body from using fats for energy, particularly during periods without food. People with this disorder have defective proteins called carnitine transporters, which bring carnitine into cells and prevent its escape from the body.
