   New research shows that obese people who have asthma are nearly five times more likely to be hospitalized for the problem and to have a lower quality of life and worse control of the disease than those with asthma who are normal weight.

   Researchers from Kaiser Permanente, Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical Shool evaluated 1,113 adults with asthma, all members of Kaiser, in Oregon, Washington or Colorado, according to HealthDay News.

   They asked the patients about their weight, height, smoking habits, other illness, asthma treatment and their quality of life associated  with asthma, as well as their asthma control and any hospitalizations related to the condition. They also computed their body-mass index (BMI).

   The team reported it’s findings in the September issue of the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, found other differences associated with obesity.

Actually before I don’t have an idea of this Fig trees. Until one time my American friend explained to me what kind of tree is this. He told me that this is the most famous tree in the Biblical reference, that Jesus cursed this tree for not producing any fruit. This tree is very useful during that time in fact, it’s leaves were used in the early church to hide the genitalia of nude, marble sculptures that adorned religious buildings. We congratulate the military for being too brave to protect our country at the same time they offer their lives so we can conquer peace and unity for the whole world. It is not an easy task being a military for they put their lives in danger. We can’t deny the fact that they were a big loss to our government if the military won’t support them, I’m sure the nation will be into lots of troubled. That is why we need to respect one another, it might be either rich or poor for here on earth we are all created by God equally, we must love one another to make this world a better place to live in. If ever the government is planning to give a big reward they should given to the military, to the policemen, to policewoman, to teachers and all those who are of great help to our nation,  so that they can continue support our country to be at ease all the time.

Have you experienced missing to eat your favorite fruits? I did experience it one time while walking on the street with my niece , oh my! We passed by a cart full of different fruits on it. As I look at the price on the top, wow, the price is not right to my pocket because my money is just enough for our fare going home. I did not bring extra money for it’s not included in my plan. I really regretted much for I was not able to buy the fruit i like best.

Did you know that the Philippines is a heaven for the sea turtle, or “pawikan?”Out of the seven species of sea turtle, the Philippines is home to five of these heroes in a half-shell.

The pawikan has been around for 200 million years, but to this day very little is known about it. After it is born it leaves and spends most of it’s life traveling the seas. The female pawikan can’t seem to let go of her hometown. Every two years, she returns to the exact same beach where it was born to lay hundreds of eggs. We can therefore claim hundreds of pawikans as “Philippines citizens.”

During pawikans life time, scientists only have two opportunities to it: when it is born, and when it comes ashore to lay it’s eggs. This makes the Philippines incredibly important to worldwide efforts to protect this creature. Aside from being a nesting site for hundreds of turtles, our islands also lie along the migratory routes of various species of sea turtles from the Asia Pacific region.

Recently, the Turtle Islands Heritage Park (TIHPA), was formed out of nine islands in the Sulu-Subah area. These areas have been declared sanctuaries for sea turtles by law, to be jointly manage by the Philippines and Malaysia governments. Manu wildfire NGOS, such as WWF Philippines, use this islands as a home station to study these mysterious creatures that have been around since the time of the dinosaur.

I was very much impressed of the result of the recent presidential election in USA that after the election the result of the counting of votes was already confirmed within just an hour. Another product of technology implemented being too hi tech does many things globally and it will help a lot in improving our communities here in the Philippines. I would like to congratulate Mr. Barack Obama the newly elected President of the United States of America who made a history in USA the first black American ever to rule America! There are lots of people who joined the celebration and welcome President Barack Obama.

The election started and ended peacefully with rival Mr. John Mccain being a good sport. Lots of people congratulated him too for not making any complaint about the result of the counting. That’s the real man, he knows how to accept the thing. How I wish that here in the Philippines the COMELEC will use or apply the automated Counting Machine for all the coming elections, to stop all the opposition and complaints after the counting.

How I wish I could ride a horse using english saddles on the back on it. Actually here in Cebu I have riding horse many times, but it is a horse with a cartridge as we call ” Kalesa,” this one of our oldest way of transportation here way back 1960’s up to present. It’s exciting to ride on it and we feel comfortable too. Not like today that here are lots of private and public vehicles that we can use as our way of transportation, the worst at present is the oil hike, it getting higher from time to time. So the jeepney all public vehicles are also affected. That is why until now even there are few “kalesas” passing on the street there are lots of people are using it for conveniences.

There’s no other happy moment for a mother’s feeling but when she gives birth to her first born baby. Of course we can not hide the fact we want the best for our baby and sometimes we make the impossible possible for them. We don’t even allow mosquito’s to touch them and if possible should sleep in a nice with clean beautiful crib bedding an a mosquito net while the baby is sleeping. That’s what a mother can do to her child.

Oh my, I need to input something to my blog for I wasn’t able to post anything in here for a week for the fast few months I was a bit busy due to my uncles death then the feast of our Patron St. Rogue, in Mambaling. Sorry if I can’t post my latest activities. So here I am starting the month Ber, hoping that I can post everything for my friends and my readers, I will try my best to post my activities and some pictures here. Blogging is my world at the same time it’s nice to share to others some tidbits of my experiences and discovery. That’s what I want in the net we can share ideas at the same time we can learn many things from other ideas.

The good thing nowadays, due to hi technologies everything is too advance. In fact there are lots of people undergo a by pass surgery in plant just like heart illness that needs a transplant. It cost much money to do the surgery but not thinking of of the money we spent, but the important is life for life here on earth is beautiful. That is why there are lots of people people would take the risk just to save life of their love ones.
